Kat is a good storyteller In this book she relives some of the most important events and relationships that have formed who she is and what she believes At times she paints a vivid picture of the story In Nevada One gas station is staffed by an off hours showgirl complete with blue seuins still glued to her fake eyelashes and a feather headdress lying on the counter next to the cigarettes Another gas station is guarded by a man with a huge shiner spitting brown tobacco slobber into an old Gatorade bottle His good eye tracks our every move Both stations have slot machines inside the bathrooms Less appealing machine levers have never existed She is also very funnyHowever too often it feels as if you are reading her journalsome of which may only be interesting to her And some of the discussions seem to force fit personal discussions such as discussions with her grandma and various theological issues such as the issue of predestination vs free will I received a complimentary e copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for a fair and unbiased review
